The combination of an elastomer VMQ O-ring and a closed jacket of FEP makes the FEP-O-SEAL® O-rings from Angst+Pfister the ideal sealing component for contact with aggressive media in the process and chemical industry with highly elastic behavior for optimum contact pressure that only an elastomer can offer.

There are numerous applications where the use of traditional elastomers causes failure. Aggressive chemicals or extreme temperatures can destroy conventional elastomer O-rings which can ultimately lead to leakage. The covering is according EC 1935:2004, USP class 6, 3-A Sanitary and FDA and cover a temperature range from -60 to +200°C (short term up to +230°C). FEP-O-SEAL® O-rings are recommended for static applications.
