Flex tyres are available in natural rubber compounds for use in ambient temperatures between -50°C to +50°C. Chloroprene rubber compounds are available for use in adverse operating conditions (e.g. oil or grease contamination) and can be used in temperatures between -15°C to +70°C. The chloroprene component should also be used when FRAS (Fire Resistant Anti Static) properties are required.
Note
---
Offset: parallel up to 6 mm, angle up to 4°, axial up to 8 mm
Characteristics
---
Flex couplings can accommodate simultaneous maximum misalignment in all planes without imposing loads on adjacement bearings and the excellent shock-absorbing properties of the flexible tyre reduce vibration and torsional oscillation.
